Dentures & Partials

At Elite Smiles Dental, P.A. we understand our patients’ desire to have a smile they are confident to show. Dentures are an option we discuss with our patients who need to replace numerous teeth, or all their teeth. Dentures are a removable dental appliance designed to resemble your natural teeth. During your consultation we will discuss whether a full or partial denture will be needed to correct the issue. Full dentures are used for our patients who are missing, or need all, of their teeth replaced. A partial denture is an option when only some teeth are missing and the spaces between remaining teeth need to be filled.

For those patients receiving a full denture they can choose from either conventional or immediate. Conventional dentures are made once the teeth have been removed and the gum tissue is healed; usually within four to six weeks. Immediate dentures are made in advance and placed immediately after the teeth are removed; adjustments will need to be made once the gum tissues have finished healing. We will schedule numerous follow-up appointment to ensure your dentures are fitting comfortably.

You may experience temporary chewing and speech difficulty, increased saliva flow, and some soreness. These symptoms will subside once your muscles and tissues get used to the new denture. Our Elite Smiles Dental, P.A. office staff will make sure you know how to properly take care of your dentures. With the proper care your new dentures will last many years.

The staff and Dr. Gambrell take great care of me. They are super friendly and this office is very comfortable and appealing.
